What's interesting about "Pioneers of Olive Town" is that players start with little to their name. Players inherit a plot of land from a grandparent and must then work hard to restore the farm and help the nearby town.
"Pioneers of Olive Town" doesn't do much to deviate from the classic formula, but it doesn't need to. Now, the original team behind the classic farming games has created a new series, "Story of Seasons," which recently released "Pioneers of Olive Town" on the Switch and PC. I enjoyed my time with this blend of elements from Animal Crossing and Story of Seasons."Harvest Moon" is the famous farming sim that inspired a generation of gamers, but eventually Natsume – the developer behind the series – went through some legal troubles, ripping the "Harvest Moon" brand out of the hands of its creators.
Right now, I can only recommend it with the caveat about technical issues and assuming you like the aesthetic. So, if you’re looking for a rewarding alternative to the Nintendo classic albeit with more to do on any given day then you should definitely pick it up. Its gameplay is addictive and there’s a lot of fun to be had, especially if you enjoy crafting. Hokko Life takes the Animal Crossing formula and builds on it with additional gameplay elements and an innovative in-game clock. Enjoy side activities like fishing and bug catching with more on the way as more updates roll out.Expand Hokko village by hiring the resident builder, start placing buildings wherever you want in town, you can also customize the interior and exterior of every home in town.Share everything you make online or download other people’s designs. Workshop: The workshop is where you can make your own designs for your furniture’s combining different shapes in a simple yet powerful editor or mix your own paint and make a new wallpaper design, flooring, and even clothes.Head to the mines and forest to gather resources take what you collected back to town and craft them into materials you can use in the workshop.Build and design everything yourself in Hokko, pick what kind of villagers you want to move in, what will your town look like? Hokko life is an animal crossing/Stardew-valley inspired game where you move into a new town called Hokko and try to reinvigorate the quiet town into a charming rural town, people from all over will aspire to move too.
